NEVER BOIL OVER BUTTER TARTS
Det här receptet fick av en mejlkompis i Kanada. Men har ännu inte prövat och gjort dem.Dessutom hittar jag inte igen kortet heller, men typ mazarinformar används som det verkar.
Description:
Prepared tart shells of your choice (one recipe below fills about 18 shells)
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
2 teaspoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla or rum flavouring
2 teaspoons vinegar (The vinegar is what helps to keep the mixture from boiling over)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice to help make the mixture firmer when baking (or you could also use 1 teaspoon cornstarch)
1 cup raisins or currants (can also use pecans for pecan tarts, but I have only tried this with raisins)
Directions:
Soften raisins in boiling water (I put them in bowl and cover them with water, then microwave them for about 3 minutes and then let them sit for a few minutes to get soft and plump before draining the water off of them). When they are cool I put about 1 teaspoon of raisins in the bottom of each tart shell.
Then, mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and beat until full of bubbles. (Of course, you can start this when the raisins are cooling). Add this mixture to the shells that have the raisins in them, until the tart shells are almost full.
Number Of Servings:one recipe fills about 18 shells
Preparation Time:Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your oven. Det är nog inte frågan om celcius här inte, det är vä Farenheit.
